BritePear complies with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255). These guidelines require clear disclosure of any material connection between an endorser and the company whose product is being recommended — including financial relationships such as affiliate commissions.
This Affiliate Disclosure describes all material affiliate relationships currently active on britepear.com. It is incorporated by reference into BritePear's Terms of Use.
Amazon Associates Program
BritePear is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, BritePear earns from qualifying purchases.
When you click a link to Amazon from BritePear and make a qualifying purchase, BritePear may receive a commission. The price you pay is not affected. Amazon sets and collects the price; BritePear receives a percentage of the sale as a referral fee.
Amazon affiliate links are identified on this site by the 🌿 Cheryl's Pick or 🔗 Affiliate Link badge adjacent to the link, and by the disclosure note below each product.
The BritePear Affiliate Standard
BritePear holds itself to the following standard for all affiliate relationships:
- Personal use first. Cliff Johnson or Cheryl Johnson must personally use a product before it appears on BritePear with an affiliate relationship. Commission opportunity does not create a recommendation — experience does.
- Commission does not influence content. BritePear's educational articles, guides, and research summaries are not influenced by whether a product or company has an affiliate relationship with BritePear. Content is written independently of commercial considerations.
- Removal if use stops. If Cliff or Cheryl stops using a product — for any reason — it is removed from active recommendation regardless of any affiliate agreement.
- No paid placement in editorial content. BritePear does not accept payment to include products in editorial articles, guides, or BriteBrief content. Affiliate products are in designated sections (Cheryl's Picks).
- No peptide source links. BritePear does not maintain affiliate relationships with peptide vendors or gray market sources. BritePear educates about peptide compounds; sourcing decisions are the reader's responsibility.
Cheryl's Picks
The Cheryl's Picks section of BritePear is a curated product list maintained by Cheryl Johnson. Every item in Cheryl's Picks is something Cheryl personally uses. The 🌿 Cheryl's Pick badge identifies these items throughout the site.
Cheryl's Picks may include affiliate links. Each product page in Cheryl's Picks includes a disclosure statement adjacent to the purchase link. Cheryl's personal notes about products reflect her genuine experience — they are not paid testimonials.
